This project is aimed at Year 4s and gives an emotion-based investigation of bullying, and its detrimental effects on everyone at school. We apply a ‘no blame’ approach, finding positive outcomes for victims, bystanders and bullies. Each class experiences an hour-long workshop, which uses drama techniques such as image theatre to bring to life the emotional upset of bullying and the negative consequences.

There is always a good dialogue with schools before we visit so that we can address specific issues, and pre-workshop lesson plans are supplied to the class teachers. We also provide a post workshop lesson plan to reinforce the messages and ‘events’ which occurred during each workshop. Each class, returns an evaluation form with their thoughts and ideas on the workshop experience.

What the schools say...
‘A very well run workshop which, above all, made our children really think of how they deal with bullying (especially as a bystander) but also as a victim or a bully’. Edmond Brooks, St Joseph’s Primary 2020
‘My class have really grabbed hold of the idea that laughing gives power to the bully. I don’t think they realised how negative laughing can be’. Eva Wharton, West Acton Primary 2020
‘Well run, well timed, clearly planned, good dialogue with school beforehand, engaging for all children, raised awareness and understanding of how to recognise and deal with bullying’. Shane O’Neill, St. John’s Primary School 2019
‘The workshop was incredibly useful for all children and teachers. I would highly recommend all primary schools to get involved’ B Panesar, Dormers Wells Junior School 2019
